About The Study
FREE FLEA CONTROL
- Kansas State University's Flea Team and Animal Dermatology South are performing a flea control study in New Port Richey, Port Richey, Hudson, Trinity, and Holiday
- We use FDA-approved drugs and this study is fully funded.

2022 Requirements
- Each year we evaluate the efficacy of a product in the Tampa area of Florida. The pets win and the fleas lose
- Veterinarians direct the program.
2022 Flea Study Requirements:
- You reside within Hudson, Holiday, New Port Richey, or Port Richey
- You have at least on CAT with fleas that spends AT LEAST 12 hours indoors every day
- All cats and dogs in the household are at least 8 weeks of age
- All cats are at least 2.0 lbs, and all dogs are at least 4.4 lbs
- No pets in the household have been treated with any insecticides that would have lasted until last month
- You are willing to participate in weekly visits from the flea team for the duration of the 12 week study during which time you may not use any flea control on the animal or premise
- No other animals will be added to the household in the next 12 weeks
- You are not planning or changing address over the next 12 weeks
- You have no more than 10 total pets in your household
We plan to help 50 homes this year; that means up to 500 pets receive "Free Flea Control".
